# Ceramic AM Summit returns to Germany for second edition in Freiburg this June

The Ceramic AM Summit, an international conference dedicated exclusively to the additive manufacturing (AM) of ceramics, will hold its second edition in Freiburg, Germany, from June 29 to July 1, 2026. 

The event, organized by Germany's ceramic society the [Deutsche Keramische Gesellschaft (DKG)](https://www.voxelmatters.com/messe-munchen-and-dkg-partner-for-ceramitec-2026/), in collaboration with ceramic 3D printing systems manufacturer [3DCeram Sinto](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/3dceram/), will expand on the success of the first edition of the summit which took place in Berlin in 2025.

That event drew nearly 100 participants from across Europe and beyond and the 2026 edition has been carefully designed to build on that foundation. A bigger program will bring together academics, technology providers, and manufacturers to address scientific and industrial challenges in [ceramic AM](https://www.voxelmatters.com/voxelmatters-ceramic-am-focus-2025-ebook/).

## Technical program and workshops

The conference program will include plenary talks, lecture sessions, and technical workshops with key technical topics to be covered ranging from new materials and technologies for AM to design for AM, post-processing of AM-printed ceramic parts to characterisation and quality control, and industrial applications of ceramic AM.

Dedicated workshops will address topics including sustainability of AM-printed ceramics, the production of bioceramics by AM, networking strategies for early-stage researchers, and the transition from laboratory research to industrial deployment.
