BOTTLETOP creates Arboretum 2.0, a 3D printed Christmas tree from recycled waste plastic

Sustainable luxury accessories brand BOTTLETOP has designed “Arboretum 2.0”, a limited edition 3D printed Christmas tree made entirely from recycled waste plastic. The tree comes in ice white and is available in a small or a large version, in an edition of 25 (per size).  The Small version is 85cm H x 45cm D x 45cm W – made from approximately 260 waste plastic bottles; the large version measures 170cm H x 90cm D x 90cm W and is made from approximately 520 waste plastic bottles.

Arboretum 2.0

The tree features a striking lattice structure, which is 3D printed using plastic collected from developing countries as an income generation project for local communities. The tree is 3D printed in London by AI Build, with whom BOTTLETOP worked earlier this year on the creation of the world’s first 3D printed store made from recycled waste plastic: the BOTTLETOP flagship store on London’s Regent Street.

Arboretum 2.0 is the latest project created by the sustainable brand to show that great design and technical innovation can allow us to transform humble waste materials and create striking products that help tackle some of today’s greatest environmental challenges. “Arboretum 2.0” is available to order online or at the BOTTLETOP stores in London, UK or Dallas, Texas, at a price of  £995 for small and £1995 for large.  Lead time is five days + delivery.
