Bosch Advanced Ceramics officially becomes Sinto Advanced Ceramics

Bosch Advanced Ceramics is now officially Sinto Advanced Ceramics Europe GmbH, marking its integration into the Sintokogio Group, a Japan-based industrial manufacturing conglomerate. The transition, effective January 2026, follows an acquisition agreement signed in November 2025 during the Formnext trade fair in Frankfurt am Main.

The Immenstadt, Germany–based company, which specializes in additive contract manufacturing of technical ceramics, will continue its operations without disruption, maintaining its existing production processes, materials portfolio, and customer programs. The rebranding reflects both continuity and expansion, as the company gains access to Sintokogio’s global network, investment resources, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Under the new structure, Nikolai Sauer, formerly Chief Technology Officer at Bosch Advanced Ceramics, becomes Managing Director of Sinto Advanced Ceramics Europe GmbH. Sophie Berninger, the outgoing Chief Executive Officer, will take on a new role within the Bosch Group.

“Becoming part of the Sintokogio Group opens up new perspectives and strengthens our position in a dynamically growing market,” said Sauer. Berninger added that the company’s foundation within Bosch Business Innovations GmbH since 2016 laid the groundwork for today’s transition, emphasizing gratitude to partners and customers. Atsushi Nagai, President of Sintokogio Ltd., said the acquisition aligns with Sintokogio’s strategy to expand its portfolio in advanced materials and additive manufacturing.

Bosch Advanced Ceramics, founded in 2016 as CeriX and later rebranded under Bosch in 2020, reported 115 percent year-over-year revenue growth at the end of the third quarter of 2025. The company’s growth reflects rising industrial demand for ceramic components with high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, and chemical stability.

Sinto Advanced Ceramics’ factory in Immenstadt uses advanced technologies like stereolithography (SLA) and lithography-based ceramic manufacturing (LCM) to make very precise parts from high-quality oxide ceramics such as alumina (Al₂O₃), zirconia (ZrO₂), alumina-toughened zirconia (ATZ), and zirconia-toughened alumina (ZTA).

The merger is expected to increase production capacity, improve process reliability, and strengthen teamwork with Sintokogio’s current additive manufacturing companies, including 3D Ceram Sinto and Laempe, which specialize in ceramic stereolithography and sand binder jetting technologies, respectively.

Sinto Advanced Ceramics reports that it will continue operating as a specialized contract manufacturer serving industries that demand high-performance ceramic components, with a focus on reproducibility, scalability, and precision. The company’s new website is available at www.sinto-ace.de.
