Barilla’s revolutionary 3D printed pasta, formerly known as Blue Rhapsody, has undergone a major rebranding and is now Artisia. This transformation reflects a deeper commitment to art, craftsmanship, and beauty, as the project started as an experimental spinoff from Barilla’s R&D department, “gets cooking”.

Artisia is more than just pasta; it is a multisensory experience that surprises and delights, bringing together unique textures and flavors in extraordinary combinations. With a refined aesthetic and a new visual identity inspired by the elegance of form, Artisia seamlessly blends art and gastronomy.

Artisia represents the pinnacle of Made in Italy pasta, crafted with a combination of cutting-edge technology and traditional artisanal techniques. The finest semolina, sourced from premium wheat grains, is carefully selected to ensure a superior texture and flavor. The dough is then processed in small batches, preserving its perfect consistency.

The result? Breathtaking pasta shapes, each a miniature digital masterpiece, designed to amaze both the eye and the palate. Inspired by nature, art, and creativity, these intricate designs push the boundaries of culinary innovation, offering chefs and food enthusiasts a platform to explore new gastronomic possibilities.

Technology meets creativity

By leveraging 3D printing technology, Artisia brings to life pasta shapes that were previously impossible to achieve through traditional extrusion methods. This pioneering approach allows for creating intricate, visually stunning forms, transforming pasta into a medium of artistic expression.

Each piece of Artisia pasta is an invitation to explore, a canvas for imaginative chefs to craft dazzling presentations and exquisite flavors. This innovation not only redefines pasta but also elevates it to the level of culinary artistry.

A new website with exclusive recipes

With this rebrand, Artisia has also launched a renewed website featuring innovative recipes designed specifically for its 3D printed pasta. Whether you are a professional chef or a passionate home cook, these recipes inspire to create extraordinary dishes that highlight the unique properties of Artisia pasta.

VoxelMatters tested one of the most popular designs, with an original 3D printed “Pasta alla Norma” recipe, and we enjoyed the result. The new website shows that possibilities are endless and that Artisia could represent a key element in the future of Italian gastronomy, where tradition and technology come together to offer a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.
