BLT breaks ground on Phase IV AM and powder production factories
Giant new facilities will significantly expand the production capacity of materials and parts

Xi’an Bright Laser Technologies Co., Ltd. (BLT) has officially broken ground on its Phase IV project facilities in High Tech Zone of Xi’an, China. The fourth phase of BLT’s AM construction project is expected to focus on setting up more metal 3D printing powder production lines and customized part production lines, with a total construction area of approximately 163,200 square meters.
Phase IV marks that BLT has entered a new historical period, significantly expanding the production capacity of metal 3D printing powders and customized product printing services in aerospace and other applications. These new capabilities are actively promoting the upgrading of China’s traditional industrial system, joining global industrial giants to push the boundaries of innovation in the manufacturing sector.
BLT’s Phase I and Phase II occupy about 100,000 square meters, consisting of one function building, a high-level R&D center and six additive manufacturing factories. This made BLT the largest intelligent metal additive manufacturing factory in China. Phase III is under construction covering an area of 190,000 square meters, which focuses on DfAM, big data, intelligent equipment, unmanned factory automation and other aspects, increasing global competitiveness and creating a world-class innovative manufacturing enterprise.
Recently, BLT announced revenue growth of 66% to USD 140M in 2022. Despite challenging pandemic conditions, BLT delivered a strong performance last year. The company currently has a market value of about $2.53 billion and ranks first among the publicly traded AM companies worldwide. Without a doubt, BLT has advanced significantly over the past several years and there is every expectation that its potential will be leveraged by a wider range of manufacturing companies and industrial adopters.
