Bechtle acquires Kaut-Bullinger’s 3D printing business
Asset deal expands Bechtle's installed base and reinforces its position as one of HP's leading global 3D printing partners
Bechtle Additive Manufacturing Deutschland has acquired Kaut-Bullinger GmbH & Co. KG’s 3D printing business through an asset transaction, adding Kaut-Bullinger’s customer base and installed systems to Bechtle’s existing footprint and strengthening its position as one of HP’s leading global 3D printing partners.
It also strengthens Bechtle’s presence in Germany and Austria, brings over established customer relationships and an experienced team from Kaut-Bullinger, and broadens its portfolio with HP direct customer services.
Strategic consolidation
Georg Nusser, Managing Director of Kaut-Bullinger, says the company has found in Bechtle a partner positioned to move its 3D printing business forward. “With Bechtle, we have found a strong partner ideally positioned to drive the 3D printing business forward,” Nusser commented.
Patrick Schnizler, Managing Director of Bechtle Additive Manufacturing Deutschland, described the deal as a step toward consolidating the company’s standing in additive manufacturing, adding: “The acquisition marks an important step in consolidating our position in additive manufacturing, significantly enhancing our capabilities.”
Uwe Burk, Executive Vice President PLM, Engineering & Manufacturing at Bechtle AG, said the move fits into the company’s broader growth plans in the region. “Additive manufacturing is a strategic growth area for Bechtle as we strengthen our European position across the DACH region,” he said.
PLM and manufacturing business
The acquisition sits within Bechtle’s broader product lifecycle management (PLM) business, which operates in nine countries with more than 1,000 specialists.
That business spans PLM, CAD/CAM, digital twin technology, 3D printing, and IT infrastructure services, delivered in part through partnerships with Dassault Systèmes and HP.
