Now, the company is expanding its portfolio in partnership with 3D printing company [Bambu Lab](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/bambu-lab/) by opening a 3D printing creativity center for kids. The new site, which is found at MixC World shopping mall in Shenzhen, is the first of its kind within China. Designed for children ages five to 12, the 3D printing creativity center builds on meland's ethos of learning through play and playing through learning. It aims to let kids experience the magic and creativity of 3D printing, both through playing with 3D printed toys and learning how to turn their own design ideas into a physical model. On the ground, the innovative entertainment site integrates two different zones, including an experience area where kids can explore the miniature CyberBrick city model and an educational zone where kids learn the basics of 3D printing using Bambu Lab A1 3D printers. Made up of models 3D printed by Bambu Lab, the installation brings many of meland's most iconic theme park attractions to life in miniature. Enhanced with advanced lighting and effects, the interactive play city draws children in and offers a tangible vision of what can be achieved with 3D printing. Beyond fun, the idea is to help "children develop an intuitive understanding of the technology through direct interaction."  We've seen other versions of Bambu Lab's [CyberBrick installations](https://www.voxelmatters.com/cyberbrick-launches-kickstarter-campaign/) before: at Formnext 2025, it showcased a [3D printed city](https://www.voxelmatters.com/inside-the-cyberbrick-3d-printed-city-by-bambu-lab/) built of modular 3D printed elements, including roads, a library, coffee shop, trees, grass and more. This installation, which spans four by two meters, was reportedly manufactured in just seven days using 100 H2D Bambu Lab printers. In the former, instructors show children how 3D printers work and go step by step through the printing process. In the exploratory course, children are themselves invited to design their own 3D models and print them, resulting in a toy or object of their own creation. The staff at the 3D printing creativity center are employed by meland and have all undergone training by Bambu Lab so that they have the skills to teach classes and offer support throughout the activities on offer. Down the line, meland and Bambu Lab also plan to introduce more events and activities that are centered on 3D printing and learning through play. "A child begins with a concept, moves through the process of designing a model, and ultimately receives a finished object they helped produce themselves. This process requires independent thinking and decision-making, gradually developing both creativity and hands-on skills." The collaboration between meland and Bambu Lab marks the first time that the 3D printing company has participated in an "offline family education environment". The hope is that kids will be excited to learn about 3D printing and understand it as a tool for creativity. For meland, the integration of 3D printing is a seamless fit within its broader offering.
