# Axtra3D validates Keystone’s KeySplint Hard Clear on the Lumia.X1

[Axtra3D, Inc.](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/axtra3d/) has added KeySplint Hard Clear, a dental resin from [Keystone Industries](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/keystone-industries/), to the list of materials approved for its [Lumia.X1 Hi-Speed stereolithography system](https://www.voxelmatters.com/axtra3d-launches-keymodel-ultra-ivory-resin-for-dental-and-orthodontic-applications-on-lumia-x1/), expanding the [Axtra.Solutions portfolio](https://www.voxelmatters.com/axtra3d-launches-functional-esd-material-for-axtra-solutions-portfolio/) available for the platform. The resin is formulated for post-trauma tooth immobilization and retainers, and is marketed as abrasion-resistant, biocompatible and easy to clean.

KeySplint Hard Clear is the second Keyprint material cleared for the Lumia.X1, [joining KeyModel Ultra](https://www.voxelmatters.com/axtra3d-launches-keymodel-ultra-ivory-resin-for-dental-and-orthodontic-applications-on-lumia-x1/). Axtra3D said four more Keyprint materials, KeyOrtho Model, KeyGuide, KeySplint Soft and KeySplint Soft Clear, are still going through that process. The resin also comes in a Light Violet shade, though Clear is currently the only color approved for the Lumia.X1.

## Fit and durability drove the decision

Axtra3D tied the approval to the dimensional accuracy the Lumia.X1 provides for dental parts, which the company said need a precise fit for each patient. [The Lumia.X1 uses Axtra3D's Hybrid PhotoSynthesis resin polymerization process](https://www.voxelmatters.com/axtra3d-hybrid-photosynthesis-scale-speed-resolution/), which combines laser and DLP imaging, alongside TruLayer, a layer-separation technology the company said increases throughput while preserving surface accuracy.

“Our partnership with Keystone is designed to improve dental lab productivity across multiple applications,” said Rajeev Kulkarni, Chief Strategy Officer at Axtra3D. “Dental wearables need to have both durability and precise fit accuracy, and the combination of KeySplint Hard and the Lumia.X1 provides this.

“Not only does this combination create wear-ready parts with minimal post-processing, but it also provides consistent, stable outcomes that allow for dental labs to reduce variability in results, leading to a more streamlined workflow.”

## Partnership extends dental material lineup

The approval builds on an existing relationship between the two companies. “We are pleased to announce the successful validation of KeySplint Hard Clear. This achievement marks another important milestone in our trusted and productive collaboration, reinforcing our shared commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions,” said Miguel Perez, Senior Vice President of Sales at Keystone.

“We are proud to provide our mutual customers with a validated solution that consistently delivers outstanding results.”
