# Axtra3D launches KeyModel Ultra Ivory resin for dental and orthodontic applications on Lumia X1

[Axtra3D](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/axtra3d/) has introduced KeyModel Ultra Ivory, [a high-precision dental resin](https://www.voxelmatters.com/axtra3d-expands-dental-portfolio-to-12-materials-with-new-pro3dure-resin-and-deeper-oqcam-integration/) developed in collaboration with Keystone Industries, and validated for use on the company's Lumia X1 Hi-Speed SLA platform.

The material — a non-chipping resin integrated with a thermoforming quick-release agent — has been designed to address common failure points in dental lab production, including part carving and mold forming for clear aligners and restorations.

The resin is also available in Sand and Light Gray colorways, though the Ivory variant is the only color validated on the Lumia X1 at the moment.

“Axtra3D's optimized resin settings produced high-quality parts that met stringent dimensional accuracy requirements, allowing the team to advance efficiently to mechanical testing,” said Arianna Waters, PhD, Dental Research Manager at Keystone Industries.

“With several additional validations currently underway and set to be announced in the coming months, this partnership is off to a strong start.”

## Productivity and workflow gains for dental labs

[Rajeev Kulkarni, Chief Strategy Officer at Axtra3D](https://www.voxelmatters.com/axtra3d-partners-with-oqcam-to-elevate-digital-dentistry-and-automate-3d-printing/), stated: “This material is designed to improve dental lab productivity, reduce cost per part, and minimize rework that drives waste and delays. By removing a key downstream failure point in carving and finishing, it helps increase throughput and operational efficiency.

“It also streamlines thermoforming workflows, improving turnaround times for high-volume applications like clear aligners and restorations. The result is more predictable output at scale, with higher consistency and reduced operational variability.”

Axtra3D also confirmed that additional Keyprint material validations for the [Lumia X1](https://www.voxelmatters.com/protolabs-expands-axtra3d-lumia-x1-fleet-to-three-printers/) are in progress, with five further resins named: KeyOrtho Model, KeyGuide, KeySplint Hard Clear, KeySplint Soft, and KeySplint Soft Clear.
