# Apollo Automobil hypercar sports a 3D printed titanium “dragon skin” inspired exhaust

Apollo Automobil has revealed a stunning “Dragon Skin Exhaust” for its Apollo EVO [hypercar](https://www.voxelmatters.com/czinger-unveils-new-v-max-specification-for-21c-hypercar/) – a one-piece, fully titanium, laser-sintered component that took 123 hours to produce.

The striking exhaust is made from [aerospace-grade TA15 alloy](https://www.voxelmatters.com/pyrogenesis-to-supply-titanium-am-powder-to-spanish-aerospace-entity/), selected for its strength and thermal resistance, and has a high-temperature ceramic coating rated to 1,000°C and which is applied over the alloy substrate.

Apollo Automobil said the exhaust’s single-piece construction would not have been possible through conventional manufacturing, and credited [Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles](https://www.voxelmatters.com/nodi-releases-innovative-new-dfam-features/) as the basis for a geometry that conventional fabrication methods could not replicate.

## Form and function in one component

The exhaust's surface texture draws from Apollo's dragon-themed naming philosophy — each of the highly limited edition 10 EVO units carries a distinct dragon designation — with a scale-like pattern that also serves a thermal management function, distributing heat across the structure. The system is offered in exclusive colorways alongside the ceramic coating.

“Apollo's Dragon Skin exhaust embodies the brand's core design DNA, serving as another extraordinary piece of Rebellious German Engineering,” the company said in a statement.

“It seamlessly merges art, storytelling and extreme engineering into a single functional component. Sculpted to evoke awe, it represents the next stage of design evolution from Apollo Automobil.”

## A $4 million hypercar, one exhaust at a time

The Apollo EVO is built around a Ferrari F140 V12 engine producing over 800 horsepower, paired with a six-speed sequential transmission. It carries a price tag exceeding $4 million — up from the $2.5 million commanded by its predecessor, the Apollo Intensa Emozione. 

Production is capped at 10 units, with the first delivery expected in the first half of 2026.
