AMUG names six new DINO Award recipients at 2026 conference
Honor recognizes long-term contributions to AM industry and AMUG community
The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) presented six of its prestigious DINO (Distinguished INnovator Operator) Awards at this year’s AMUG Conference, in recognition of AM industry service and expertise.
Last month’s gathering in Las Vegas was marked by the award presentation, as the six recipients joined an exclusive list of just over 200 individuals who have been given a DINO in its 38-year history.
The 2026 recipients and their contributions
- Olga (Dr. O) Ivanova, Mechnano has a career in AM spanning University of Louisville and Virginia Tech, and was also Co-Chair of the AMUG Scholarship Committee for two years.
- Daniel Landgraf, 3D Spark has served on the AMUG Board and International Committee, and is the incoming AMUG Vice President.
- Brian Post, Oak Ridge National Laboratory is an AM advocate who assists peers with projects and connects them with subject matter experts.
- Chris Prue, IperionX is a long-term conference volunteer who actively recruits new attendees through his professional network.
- John Thiell, Beehive Industries served as AMUG President in 1996 (when the organization was known as 3DSNASUG, serving on the board for four years. He returned after a work-related absence to serve on multiple committees.
- Annie Wang, Senvol — volunteers at AMUG Conferences and is known for connecting members with experienced professionals.
“DINO Committee members are DINO recipients committed to recognizing other AMUG members who have made significant contributions to the organization and the industry,” stated Bruce LeMaster, DINO Selection Committee Chair and AMUG Director at Large.
“We evaluate each nominee based on their tenure in the industry, commitment to promoting additive manufacturing, and support for AMUG. Those who are ultimately selected for a DINO Award exemplify a ‘giving’ attitude that complements their knowledge of additive manufacturing.
“This year’s DINO recipients come from a broad range of industries, government labs, equipment and material OEMs, and additive manufacturing service providers. Though their backgrounds are different, they each share a high regard for AMUG and the overall AM industry, and they are willing to share their knowledge with others.”
