Amnovis establishes US operations and acquires Westconn Precision Technologies’ AM activities
Belgian medical device contract manufacturer opens Indiana production site and brings on new leadership as part of a North American expansion strategy
Belgian additive manufacturing contract manufacturer Amnovis has established a new operational entity in the United States and, at the same time, acquired the additive manufacturing activities of Westconn Precision Technologies.
The move positions Amnovis within the medical device manufacturing corridor surrounding Warsaw, Indiana, with the new production facility located in North Webster, Indiana. The site is being developed as a mirror of Amnovis’ Belgian headquarters, meaning both the US and Belgian sites will operate under the same global quality management system, procedures, digital workflows, validation frameworks, and equipment strategy.
That structure is one that the company stated is designed to reduce supplier qualification burdens for customers with cross-regional manufacturing needs. Driving factors in the expansion were cited as US medical device market size, growing demand for patient-specific and time-critical applications, and the need for regionally available manufacturing capacity.
Chris Cook has been appointed General Manager, US Operations, to lead the ramp-up of the new facility and brings leadership experience from both scale-up environments and large international medical device organizations.

Westconn acquisition adds hybrid manufacturing depth
Integrating Westconn Precision Technologies’ additive manufacturing activities into its North Webster site adds hybrid manufacturing capabilities for Amnovis, by combining metal AM with conventional CNC and post-processing technologies.
“Westconn’s additive manufacturing work has been built around helping customers move complex programs from development into reliable production,” said Jake Marasco, VP of Sales and Operations at Westconn and who now joins Amnovis to lead account management and business development across North America.
