AML3D to present ARCEMY technology at UDT and Sea Air Space events

Australian metal additive manufacturer set to appear at back-to-back defence and maritime shows in April

Leading developer of metal industrial 3D printing technology AML3D will attend two defense-focused industry events this month, giving prospective customers and partners the opportunity to see its Wire-arc Additive Manufacturing (WAM) technology in person.

The first show, Undersea Defence Technology (UDT) 2026, runs April 14–16 in London, UK and the second, Sea Air Space (SAS) 2026, takes place April 20–22 in Maryland, US.

At both events, the AML3D team will be discussing how its ARCEMY platform addresses manufacturing challenges, including long lead times, complex supply chains, and the high cost of traditional production methods such as forging and casting.

ARCEMY is an industrial-scale metal 3D printing platform capable of producing parts weighing several tonnes. The units are designed for demanding environments and can produce components with material properties that have been tested and verified, while reducing both lead times and material waste relative to conventional manufacturing routes.

Supporting the hardware is WAMSoft, a path-planning software tool in which users load a CAD model and generate a layer-by-layer plan that the ARCEMY welding torch follows during the print. Path plans are configurable based on part geometry, system configuration — including positioner and robot models — and the welding environment, covering material and shielding gas variables. Users can iterate on path plans to refine the output.

The third component is AMLSoft, the operating system that runs on ARCEMY hardware. The software provides real-time control over the WAM process, managing printing parameters and collecting data to support quality assurance and certification requirements.

The full range will be on display at UDT and SAS, giving prospective users the chance to see how the integrated systems can take manufacturers from initial design through to finished, certified metal parts within a single workflow.
