# AML3D reports $20 million in YTD orders as US defence contracts drive quarterly growth

[AML3D](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/aml3d/) has recorded $2.2 million (AUD) in customer receipts for the quarter ending 31 March 2026, holding a consistent run rate across the previous four quarters and bringing total year-to-date customer receipts to $6.9m. That represents a 20% increase on the prior comparable period.

The company's total orders for the financial year reached $20m, with $12.5m in new orders secured during the third quarter alone. Combined with $9m in orders carried into the fiscal year, AML3D held $29m in total orders as of 31 March 2026.

[The quarter's largest contract was a $9.9m order for four ARCEMY WAAM systems from Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS)](https://www.voxelmatters.com/aml3d-receives-7-million-arcemy-x-order-from-hiis-newport-news-shipbuilding/), a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, which is the largest military shipbuilder in the United States, producing Navy submarines and aircraft carriers.

[The order followed an initial $4.5m, two-system placement from NNS in the second quarter](https://www.voxelmatters.com/aml3d-receives-aud-4-5-million-order-from-hii/), expanding the shipbuilder's ARCEMY fleet from two to six units within six months. [AML3D also signed a $2.6m order for five non-safety-critical US Navy submarine components no longer supported by their original equipment manufacturers](https://www.voxelmatters.com/aml3d-secures-1-8-million-contract-to-3d-print-replacement-parts-for-us-navy-submarines/), and completed [final commissioning of a $1.7m ARCEMY X system for FasTech](https://www.voxelmatters.com/aml3d-receives-aud1-69-million-order-from-fastech/), a prime Navy component supplier also serving the aerospace and energy sectors.

To meet growing demand, AML3D also committed $12m to double production capacity at its facility in Stow, Ohio, citing the volume of orders in hand and demand projections outlined in a Letter of Intent from the US Department of the Navy.

## UK, Europe, and Australia market activity

AML3D continued early-stage activities in the UK defense market, including a $1.2m material feasibility and test block program with BAE Systems UK and confidential component manufacturing work for a UK defense prime. The company held [distribution agreements with Arc Additive Limited for the UK and Europe](https://www.voxelmatters.com/aml3d-and-arc-additive-limited-enter-distribution-partnership/), [and with DMFG Solutions GmbH for Germany and the wider European market](https://www.voxelmatters.com/aml3d-appoints-dmfg-as-european-distribution-partner/). A $5m European Technology Center in the UK remains under consideration pending the outcome of these engagements.

In Australia, AML3D completed commissioning of a $1m enterprise ARCEMY system at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. The installation will also serve as a satellite manufacturing facility for customer demonstrations in the mining, agriculture, oil and gas, and defense maritime sectors. 

A further investment of $270,000 was made during the quarter in its ARCEMY Increased Deposition Rates research project, a $2.24m program aimed at accelerating component production throughput.
