AMCM delivers 150th metal 3D printer
The AMCM M 4K system is now set to enter service in California’s space industry
AMCM delivered its 150th machine, a significant achievement for the specialized metal 3D printer manufacturer, part of the EOS family of companies. The 150th unit, an AMCM M 4K system outfitted with four powerful 1 kW lasers, is set to enter service in California’s space industry. It will be used to produce CuCr1Zr combustion chambers, a critical component in aerospace engineering, reinforcing the trust and reliance that high-tech industries place in AMCM’s precision and performance.
Since the beginning of 2015, AMCM reported that it has installed an AMCM M 4K system at Penn United Technologies, Inc., and another one at at Oerlikon’s Huntersville facility. The company also installed two AMCM M290-2 FLX 3D printers with nLIGHT bema shaping laser system: one is at Florida-based Sintavia, a leading AM parts manufacturer for the aerospace industry, and the other is at AMRF (Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility) in Australia.
Looking forward, the development of the AMCM M 8K has already taken form, representing the next evolution in build volume and vertical capabilities. With this next-generation machine, AMCM continues to set new benchmarks in the industry, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, scalability, and the future of industrial 3D printing.
