# Amandeep Hospitals launches 3D Printing and Virtual Reality Technology facility

Amritsar-based Amandeep Hospitals, in partnership with Ujala Cygnus, has launched North India’s first hospital-based 3D Printing and Virtual Reality Technology facility. It was inaugurated by Dr. Abhijat Sheth, Chairman of the National Medical Commission, signaling growing institutional support for the integration of emerging technologies into everyday healthcare delivery.

With this launch, Amandeep Hospitals becomes one of [a small number of Indian institutions to embed 3D printing](https://www.voxelmatters.com/sparsh-hospitals-launches-on-site-3d-printing-lab-in-india/) directly into clinical workflows. Surgeons can now produce highly accurate anatomical models, patient-specific guides, and customized implants for complex orthopedic, trauma, spine, [maxillofacial](https://www.voxelmatters.com/custom-peek-maxillofacial-implant-3d-printed-at-point-of-care-in-healthcare-first/), and reconstructive procedures - inside the hospital, and on demand.

The combination of 3D printing and virtual reality enables clinicians to plan complex surgeries using patient-specific anatomical models, design custom jigs and guides for joint replacement and deformity correction, and manufacture tailored implants. Beyond surgery, the technology supports training, simulation, and medical education, while helping reduce operating time, improve alignment accuracy, and deliver more predictable outcomes.
