Under the theme ‘Additive Impact’, Danish AM Hub is hosting the AM Summit 2022 – Scandinavia’s largest conference for additive manufacturing/industrial 3D printing. This year, the focus is on how new technology, like 3D printing, can help us produce more sustainably and competitively with stronger, more circular business models, and more robust supply chains.

During the conference on Tuesday, September 7th, at TAP1 in Copenhagen, many speakers will take the stage and present their views on what the future of production will bring, how leading players in the field are already working with additive manufacturing/3D printing, and how to get started with AM technology.

Among other things, we will hear how Boeing uses 3D printing in the aircraft industry, how CELLINK works with bioprinting, and how Danish Create it REAL produces insoles with a circular business model. There will also be a panel debate on how companies can utilize new technology to make Denmark the greenest production country in the world.

Last, but not least, there will be entertainment by a Guns N ’Roses cover band – GNR-Jam – which will play on an electric guitar developed and 3D printed from recycled sawdust.

The AM Summit 2022 program will also offer more breakout sessions than previous years, which address the development of AM technology within six themes – new materials for more sustainable production, how 3D printing challenges different production industries, gender diversity in the industry, sustainable construction, the development of our healthcare sector, and a session with some of Denmark’s leading experts in the field.

“AM is the key that can solve many of the challenges of the future and create more growth and contribute to the green transition with a more sustainable production, where we produce with less waste, less material, less transport, and less CO2 emissions”, said Frank Rosengreen Lorenzen, CEO of Danish AM Hub. “AM technology is an opportunity for Danish companies to show the world how we develop, design and produce in the more green and robust production of the future. We look forward to focusing on this at the AM Summit in September.”

The conference is for anyone who is interested in the development and influence of AM technology, and who wants to become wiser, more inspired, and to network. With exciting speakers, and a large AM exhibition, the conference is a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience – and a unique opportunity to let creative actors present their qualified bids on the latest technology, trends and developments, as well as the future of the AM industry.
