Airtech Advanced Materials Group, the industry leader in specialty formulated additive manufacturing materials, will be a key exhibitor at the upcoming TCT 3Sixty 2024 show in Birmingham, UK.

With over 50 years of extrusion experience, Airtech is now actively targeting the additive manufacturing segment. At TCT, the company will showcase its Print-Tech® large-scale additive manufacturing tooling service. This service is ideal for composites and large-scale tooling, including trim fixtures, holding fixtures, and layup molds that can be designed, tooled, and built faster without compromising quality. Airtech will also display its industry-leading Dahltram® fiber-reinforced resins, available as pellets and filaments, and Dahlpram® purging resins.

Airtech previewed circularity of large-scale 3D printed tooling at JEC 2024, with the Brumos Racing mold, and live printing.

During the event, Tomas Hadrava, Airtech’s Technical Services Engineer, will present “Engineered Pellet Materials Enable LSAM Production of Long-Life Tooling for Advanced Composites” at the Introducing Stage on Wednesday, 5th June. Hadrava specializes in additive manufacturing for composites, focusing on material testing, validation, and research and development projects.

With a strong foundation in technical support, Airtech provides innovative solutions to complex challenges in the additive manufacturing landscape. The Airtech team continually pushes the boundaries of technology, driving advancements in composite materials and collaborating with multidisciplinary partners to bring ideas from concept to fruition.

Additionally, Airtech is a finalist at the TCT Awards 2024 in the Automotive & Rail Application Award category for their “Closed-Loop Motorsport Tooling.” Using recycled materials from redundant molds, a carbon-fiber aerodynamic splitter mold was manufactured using a Thermwood 1040 LSAM 3D Printer. This splitter played a pivotal role in enhancing The Brumos Collection’s GT2 RS Clubsport, producing more downforce and enabling the Brumos Racing Porsche to set a new world record as the fastest car in its class.
