# Airtech pushes boundaries of LFAM with 3,000 lb T-100GF structure

Recycled glass fiber-reinforced polyester, T-100GF, one of [Airtech](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/airtech/)’s [recently introduced Dahltram pellet grades](https://www.voxelmatters.com/airtech-to-preview-circularity-of-large-scale-3d-printed-tooling-at-jec-2024/), has enabled an extremely challenging print on a gantry-style LFAM to produce a full 3,000 lb eight-piece structure in one continuous run.

![Discover how Airtech T-100GF enables complex designs with strength and heat resistance in additive manufacturing projects.](https://www.voxelmatters.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Airtech_Alpha_Additive_T100_1765460824495.jpg)Supporting [Alpha Additive, LLC](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/alpha-additive/) with a project for ACADIA 2025, the [Dahltram T-100GF](https://catalog.airtechintl.com/rawpdfs/Dahltram_T-100GF-EN.pdf?v=1177) was used to print a design with multiple 60° overhangs—a design type that would previously have created myriad issues due to its numerous complexities.

T-100GF had the right strength, stiffness, and heat resistance to print complex designs with steep angles, outperforming other materials tested and enabling the project to be completed successfully.

[Airtech's T-100GF, launched ](https://www.voxelmatters.com/dahltram-t-100gf-resin-is-airtechs-first-recycled-grade-polymer-for-lfam/)as the first recycled-grade thermoplastic polymer resin for pellet-based large-scale additive manufacturing, is made from a co-polyester resin reinforced with fiberglass. It pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved with a traditional 3-axis gantry system, meeting the growing demand from manufacturers for reliable materials suitable for production environments.

Specifically, T-100GF has been positioned as a cost-effective, green-friendly solution thanks to its recycled-grade, glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite resin and its suitability for rapid prototyping and room-temperature tooling, as well as for architectural and consumer applications.

The pavilion produced by Alpha Additive was displayed on the Florida International University campus through November as a research platform exploring computational design, recycled composites, and LFAM workflows before being showcased at ALCOVA 2025 at the start of December.
