AIRSYS to build one of the ‘world’s largest’ 3D printing factories

AIRSYS Cooling Technologies is expected to build a new global headquarters with an expansion in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The $40 million investment is expected to create 215 new jobs. Currently headquartered in Greer, AIRSYS specializes in developing and manufacturing cooling equipment for information and communication technology. Their solutions are used globally in data centers, schools, and telecom cabinets.

The company plans to build a 264,000-square-foot global headquarters campus at 6228 Highway 101 in Woodruff. This facility will also expand its existing manufacturing operations in Spartanburg County. The new campus will feature one of the world’s largest 3D printing factories and produce customizable spray liquid cooling components for high-density computing servers. Operations are projected to begin in 2026.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits for this project and awarded a $500,000 Set-Aside grant to Spartanburg County to assist with site preparation and construction costs.
