At Rapid + TCT in Los Angeles, from June 25-27, Aibuild, a provider of autonomous 3D printing technologies and the winner of the TCT 2023 Software Award, will premier Aibuild 2.0. The latest version of the company’s software platform introduces enhanced capabilities, new branding, and strategic partnerships designed to accelerate innovation in the large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) industry.

Aibuild represents a unique software category – seamlessly integrating the entire manufacturing process from slicing and optimization to real-time control and monitoring, within a single AI-powered cloud platform. Trusted by the world’s leading manufacturers such as Ford, Boeing, and Nikon, the Aibuild platform delivers fully automated toolpath generation for a wide range of industrial AM technologies, including polymer extrusion, metal DED, WAAM, cold spray, and concrete and paste extrusion, on both robotic and gantry systems.

The company has worked closely with its key customers and partners to ensure the new release of the software meets the evolving needs of the industry – providing robust solutions that enhance productivity and scalability. “This update takes the software to a new level by combining technical expertise with user-friendliness, making the advanced tool accessible to everyone,” said Nurah Al-Haj-Mustafa, AM Engineer at Ford.

“The new Aibuild 2.0 software is a significant achievement for the additive manufacturing industry. I am immensely proud of the team at Aibuild, whose dedication to innovation created a platform that combines unmatched capabilities and flexibility with user-friendly design,” said Michail Desyllas, Co-founder and COO of Aibuild.

Key features of the new release include:

  • Full automation: Every operation on the platform is traceable and reusable, allowing users to define manufacturing strategies once and generate ready-to-print toolpaths with a single click.
  • AI copilot: Aibuild’s built-in AI assistant autonomously recommends and performs actions, making AM accessible to engineers of all experience levels.
  • Seamless integration: The software integrates seamlessly with a growing network of AM hardware and materials, providing a unified platform for the entire manufacturing process and eliminating the need for trial and error.
  • Unlimited flexibility: An open platform architecture and visual programming interface allow the creation of advanced toolpaths without limits.
  • Access anywhere: Aibuild’s secure, ISO 27001-certified cloud infrastructure eliminates the need for installations, upgrades, or file management – making AM workflows accessible from any device and location.

In addition to the software enhancements, Aibuild has forged new partnerships to drive innovation within the industry. One notable partnership is with WASP, the Italian manufacturer of large-format 3D printers. Aibuild collaborated with WASP to seamlessly integrate the new Cerebro hardware on its platform as a digital twin. ““The implementation of Cerebro on Aibuild software has been successfully completed, demonstrating the full compatibility of the two systems and unlocking endless possibilities for utilizing all of WASP’s extrusion systems, including both pellet and ceramic extruders. The collaboration with Aibuild proceeded with great coordination between the two teams, who worked together to seamlessly complete the integration of both technologies.,” said a representative from WASP.

“With this update, we are not only enhancing the software’s capabilities but also reinforcing our commitment to continue pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing in collaboration with our partners and customers. The future of additive manufacturing with AI-powered software is very exciting,” said Daghan Cam, Co-founder and CEO of Aibuild.
