This is, admittedly, one of the strangest times to be discussing the latest of the aerospace industry. We are at an interesting juncture, to say the least: one in which the commercial aviation industry is virtually at a standstill due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, but the space launch industry is entering a new and exciting phase. To put it into perspective: in the same month that many airlines posted record losses, SpaceX became the first commercial operator to successfully launch NASA astronauts into space.
Though a strange time, it is perhaps also the ideal time to look at the ways in which the aerospace industry is using additive manufacturing to bolster its growth and evolve.
