# Aectual presents Parhelion 3D printed acoustic wall

Dutch designer Mae Engelgeer introduces Parhelion, her inaugural 3D printed design developed in collaboration with [Aectual](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/aectual/). This distinctive acoustic wall feature merges Engelgeer’s signature style—characterized by sophisticated color palettes, lively patterns, and linear structures—into a compelling piece of functional art.

Named after parhelia, the atmospheric optical illusion where luminous spots form beside the sun, often displaying a rainbow-like sheen, Parhelion mirrors this natural phenomenon through its layered gradients and rich, expressive tones.

Each unit is individually 3D printed using Aectual’s on-demand manufacturing technology. The unique blending of colors during the printing process ensures that no two designs are ever the same. Engelgeer has carefully crafted exclusive color combinations, each featuring three complementary shades that enhance the piece's bold graphical impact. This striking visual is further emphasized by the contrasting acoustic PET felt backing.

Parhelion is available in three distinctive color variations: ALPHA, with subtle sand tones; DELTA, showcasing deep purples; and OMEGA, offering a rich, vibrant blue. It comes in two dimensions—either a large circular format measuring 150 cm in diameter or a smaller version with a 75 cm diameter. The larger size delivers a strong, singular statement, while the smaller pieces invite playful, modular arrangements when grouped.
