# Additive manufacturer 3D People used for maritime critical component production

[London-based AM firm 3D People](https://www.voxelmatters.com/3d-people-adds-ultrasint-tpu01-to-service-offering/) has confirmed it was engaged by fellow UK company Armada Technologies to produce a precision ejector for its Passive Air Lubrication System (PALS).

The requirements for high-pressure, corrosion-resistant performance with complex internal geometries made traditional manufacturing methods a non-starter. 3D People manufactured the part in PA12 nylon using selective laser sintering, followed by vapour smoothing to improve surface interaction.

Production was completed in four batches, and the components have remained in operation since their installation eight months ago.

# Siraya Tech releases innovative new composite filament

[High-performance materials company Siraya Tech](https://www.voxelmatters.com/siraya-tech-releases-rebound-peba-air/) has developed a new filament reinforced with 15% glass fiber.

Fibreheart TPU-GF is designed to counter the warping and shrinkage that often thwarts large-scale functional prints when using traditional TPU. 

It’s being targeted at professional engineers, drone enthusiasts, and industrial designers, and Siraya claims it offers superior dimensional stability in combination with “exceptional load-bearing capacity” thanks to the 15% fiber content.

# Tekna’s titanium powder continues to be in demand from US defense Tier-1

After recent orders of CAD$2 million ($1.44m) and [CAD$1.6 million ($1.15m) ](https://www.voxelmatters.com/tekna-receives-cad-1-6-million-order-of-lpbf-titanium-powder/)of its premium Ti64 titanium powder, Tekna has confirmed another significant batch request from an undisclosed US defense Tier-1 supplier. The latest order is valued at CAD$1.5 million ($1.09m).

The high-performance titanium powder is used in Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) additive manufacturing.

The company is set to report a total order intake of CAD$12.2 million ($8.87m) for Q4 of 2025, the majority of which was for materials. The figure includes significant titanium and aluminum powder orders totaling CAD$1.3 million ($0.95m) from a major European aerospace and defense original equipment manufacturer.
