Additive manufacturing takes center stage at Guangzhou’s Asiamold Select

When Guangzhou Industrial Technology and Asiamold Select return to the China Import and Export Fair Complex from March 4 to 6, 2026, 3D printing will be more important than ever, underscoring that AM is now a consolidated and valuable tool for mold making and advanced manufacturing processes.

The event, held alongside SPS – Smart Production Solutions Guangzhou and drawing 420 exhibitors, positions additive manufacturing squarely within China’s broader push toward automated and intelligent production. For the mold-making sector in particular, the integration of 3D printing into tooling processes represents one of the more consequential shifts currently reshaping how manufacturers approach design, iteration, and production lead times.

On the exhibition floor, Asiamold Select will feature a dedicated cluster of additive manufacturing solution providers—Blackbox 3D, Hefei Buiture 3D, Tianhong Laser, and Zhongyuan Advanced Materials—each presenting technologies developed specifically for mold-making applications. The emphasis on using 3D printing for industrial tools rather than just prototypes shows that the mold-making industry is becoming more advanced in its use of this technology, with metal 3D printing for high-quality tools becoming more practical in terms of cost and performance.

In addition, a dedicated 3D Printing Technologies in Mould Making Summit will bring together practitioners and technology developers to examine where additive manufacturing is delivering measurable impact on the shop floor. Among the sessions, Dongguan BoTong Precision 3D Technology will present a game-changing approach to injection molding tooling, while Ningbo Haitian Additive Technology will address one of the field’s more technically demanding frontiers—the production of large, geometrically complex molds through additive processes.
