# ADDITIV Polymers World shines a spotlight on the use of plastics in 3D printing

Last year, the first edition of ADDITIV Polymers World, a virtual event dedicated to exploring the role of polymers in additive manufacturing, took place, and, was a huge success. With over 800 registrants, 15 speakers, and several partners and sponsors, the 4-and-a-half-hour event proved to be a unique opportunity to bring together experts from a variety of sectors to discuss different aspects of plastic 3D printing. Now, the event is back for the second edition.

ADDITIV Polymers World 2024 will take place on October 10th from 9:00 – 13:30 EDT (15:00 – 19:30 CEST) on the new Swapcard platform. Here, attendees will have access to live workshops, panel discussions, and networking, as well as recorded content, such as on-demand webinars which will be available before, after, and during the show. It will also be possible to schedule meetings with other attendees and registrants before the day of the event.

For the 2024 version, ADDITV Polymers Year is brought to you by ADDITIV, powered by 3Dnatives, along with several partners and sponsors including (but not limited to), Evolve Additive Solutions, ADDMAN, Kimya, 3devo, SPE, IAM3DHUB, 3DPrint.com, Wevolver, and Voxelmatters. Speakers from various organizations including Nissan, Ford, the US Navy, Airbus, the University of Maine, Al Seer Marine, Bell Flight, and more will also be present to give their insights. ## What can you expect at ADDITIV Polymers World 2024?

Polymers are an integral part of additive manufacturing. Even with metals and ceramics gaining in popularity, plastics remain the most commonly used materials, with the wider market estimated at an astonishing $1.7B in 2023. All this means that, when talking about the material, there is a lot to cover.

That’s why, for ADDITIV Polymers World 2024, the organizers sought to highlight different aspects of polymer additive manufacturing compared to the 2023 event. For example, in the three-panel discussions, topics such as additive manufacturing in the automotive sector, large-scale polymer 3D printing, and the industrialization of plastic AM will be covered. Meanwhile, workshops, both recorded and live, will allow representatives from leading 3D printing companies and organizations working in the field to showcase applications and solutions to solve different problems.

Stay tuned for more news from the event in the coming weeks! ADDITIV is looking forward to welcoming you all, in October, to the leading virtual event for plastics in 3D printing.
