A new Replicatore for a more mature Italian additive manufacturing industry

The website has been renewed to meet the communication needs of increasingly consolidated industry operators

Stay up to date with everything that is happening in the wonderful world of AM via our LinkedIn community.

More and more articles published by 3dpbm’s international websites are reaching hundreds of thousands of users around the world. And more and more people are becoming aware of the possibilities offered by 3D printing for the future (but increasingly also for the present) of industry and society. The additive manufacturing (AM) industry is now ready to enter a new phase of productive maturity. Replicatore, the first and most important information site for the Italian AM industry—published by 3dpbm—has thus been renewed to meet the communication needs of a stronger Italian additive manufacturing industry, made up of increasingly consolidated operators.

Italy was one of the first countries to adopt 3D printing technologies. Italian companies initially used AM technologies to accelerate the prototyping activities necessary for the high-level production that characterizes many areas of Italian manufacturing, including its leading automotive, aerospace and industrial automation segments. Now is the time to take the next steps and implement 3D printing to step up production of tools for indirect digital manufacturing and then start entirely digital additive production lines, for metals and plastics but also for advanced ceramics and composites.

Replicatore 2020 Homepage

Since 2013, Replicatore has been narrating this transition, always recognizing that it was started by a core of professionals that have been operating at the highest levels in this industrial sector since the early 1990s. These realities are now making—and in some cases leading—the transition to tomorrow’s additive manufacturing. The tragedy of the COVID-19 pandemic will accelerate this process, for better or for worse: those who will fail to adapt will be left behind.

In the new Replicatore, we will focus on reporting the most important innovations specific to the Italian additive industry as well as international events and developments that can have an effect on the Italian market. Through our exclusive collaborations with some of the world’s data collection companies on the AM market, we will continue to bring you unique, timely, original and strategically fundamental information to continue building your AM businesses.

Replicatore remains – and if ever, it becomes more and more—a portal for additive market operators who already know the basics of 3D printing. Among its pages, you will not find explanations on how laser sintering works or the difference between extrusion and stereolithography. You will find information on the latest technological developments of these technologies, on the newest materials that can be printed and on the most advanced applications that will enable the products of tomorrow. To receive this information in an even more timely fashion, you now have a new push notification tool available, in addition to our weekly curated newsletters and regular social media updates.

You will find many of the categories you already know, together with three new main homepage areas: in the Featured section, you will find the original stories and the most important interviews, as well as stories based on high-profile commercial collaborations. In the Industry 4.0 section, we will bring you the latest industrial and professional news, while in the Society 4.0 section we will tell you about the most futuristic studies and 3D printing applications for the mass market and digital society at large.

As always, we will do everything we can to tell you about this market at an editorial level through timely and independent journalism. But Replicatore remains—proudly—a trade website and as such can only survive through the support of companies operating in this industry. This is why we ask all our readers to actively work with us to communicate your products and innovations in a conscious and effective way.

Having passionate media, who know how to promote and report on the industry, even during those moments when the mass media have no interest in doing so, is the only way to lay the foundations that will support the transition to a truly 4.0 world.
