Arrinera Hussaraya Supercar Implements 3D Printed Final Parts by OMNI3D

Mirror caps, air vents – these are just some of the parts printed by 3D printer manufacturer OMNI3D for the Arrinera Hussaraya supercar. All models are printed at full scale, mostly with ABS-42 and are used as functional prototypes as well as final parts. ArrineraTechnology, a Polish manufacturer of sports cars, has been using OMNI3D’s Printroom services for over a year now.

Engineers working on the Arrinera Hussarya supercar were looking for an optimal solution for prototyping parts for the car. The design process requires the continuous improvement of elements, thus producing not one, but several prototypes of a particular part. Using traditional production methods takes more time and generates higher costs of production, especially when it comes to complex geometries and models larger than 40 cm.

“Detail production on a 3D printer significantly accelerates the work of our R&D team and reduces production time and costs. Frequent changes to a model’s shape – the diameter or length – are not as problematic as they used to be. A new model can be printed in just over twelve hours,” confirms Łukasz Tomkiewicz, president of Arrinera Technology S.A.

OMNI3D is the Polish manufacturer of the industrial 3D printer Factory Production System 2.0., and for a year now it has been offering 3D printing on demand services.

“We opened the Printroom as a result of observing market needs. Many of our customers before making a final purchase decision about Factory 2.0, asks us for test prints. Others, like Arrinera don’t want to invest in their own machine, but still need professional 3D prints. There are also companies that have big needs for 3D printing, but prefer to trust experienced 3D printing technologists from our company,” adds Krzysztof Kardach – Chief Technologist, OMNI3D.

Printroom by OMNI3D specialises in large-format 3D printing using FFF technology. The company provides services for professionals who expect the highest quality and durability of printed parts. Prints are made on professional 3D printers – Factory 2.0 Production System. What distinguishes the company is the ability to print large components (up to 500 mm in each axis) of durable thermoplastic materials, such as ABS-42, ASA-39, PC-ABS-47, PET-G-32 and HIPS-20.
