XYZprinting partners with 3D Printlife to feature 3D Printlife’s flagship filament, Enviro ABS, for the da Vinci 1.0 Pro Series 3D Printlife and XYZprinting, the world’s leading 3D printing company, are pleased to announce 3D Printlife’s Enviro eco-friendly ABS filament as the preferred third-party filament for XYZprinting’s top-rated, open-source 3D printers, the da Vinci 1.0 Pro. To kick-off this first-of-its-kind partnership, 3D Printlife is including a free spool of Enviro ABS with every da Vinci 1.0 Pro, and da Vinci 1.0 Pro 3-in-1, purchased on its site. Combining cost effectiveness with environmental consciousness, together, the two companies’ partnership reflects a future-ready outlook to open source 3D printing. The da Vinci 1.0 Pro series are the first XYZprinting 3D solutions to accept third-party filaments, and 3D Printlife’s Enviro ABS is the first filament XYZprinting approved for them.

“This partnership reflects a future outlook in delivering environmentally responsible, open source 3D printing solutions without sacrificing quality materials,” said Simon Shen, CEO of XYZprinting and parent company New Kinpo Group.” enviro+davinci1.0pro

The two companies have completed months of rigorous testing to ensure the da Vinci 1.0 Pro is optimized for Enviro ABS filament to provide the highest quality printing results for even the most novice users.

“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with XYZprinting,” said 3D Printlife Co-Founder Buzz Baldwin, “Both companies are extremely optimistic about the long-term environmental benefits created by this collaboration. In extensive independent testing the da Vinci 1.0 Pro outperformed many printers that typically sell for much more. This partnership serves the environment while still providing the highest quality 3D printing hardware and consumables.”

To ensure optimal printing performance, the Florida Institute of Technology thoroughly tested Enviro ABS on the da Vinci 1.0 Pro to determine the ideal print temperatures and settings for each color.

“We had the pleasure of testing 13 colors of 3D Printlife’s Enviro ABS filament for XYZprinting with fantastic results,” said Martin Gallagher, head of the Digital Scholarship Lab at FIT. “In over 400 hours of testing the filament worked flawlessly. Extremely consistent prints with no failures or jamming, just clean constant high quality printing. I would recommend Enviro to anyone who prints with ABS. It’s Environmentally friendly with professionally consistent results.”

By being able to provide settings for retraction, users can print objects without any streaking or smudges that occur when the extruder moves across the print – ensuring high-quality print results.
