3DXTECH and BigRep partner for US market expansion
Michigan-based materials supplier takes on authorized reseller role for BigRep's ALTRA 280 and IPSO 105 industrial platforms across the US market, to bring German company's large-format, high-temperature 3D printing systems to North American customers
3DXTECH, a leading US manufacturer of high-performance 3D printing filaments, has entered a reseller partnership with German large-format industrial 3D printing systems provider BigRep.
Under the agreement, 3DXTECH will offer two BigRep platforms — the ALTRA 280 and the IPSO 105 — to customers across the United States.
3DXTECH identified a gap in the market whereby engineers working with ultra-polymers such as PEEK (polyether ether ketone), PEKK (polyetherketoneketone), PEI (polyetherimide, commonly sold as Ultem), and carbon fiber composites had, for some time, struggled to source hardware capable of consistently processing those materials at the temperatures and scales required for industrial production.
The ALTRA 280, a large-format system with high-temperature chamber conditions, has precision mechanical systems suited to aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing. The IPSO 105 is positioned as a more versatile platform supporting both prototyping and production workflows.
Combining materials expertise with industrial hardware
3DXTECH’s existing filament portfolio includes its CarbonX carbon fiber composite range, PEEK and PEKK formulations for high-temperature and chemical resistance applications, and electrostatic discharge (ESD)-safe materials for electronics and defense use cases.

BigRep launched a new system – the ONE.5X – at Rapid + TCT earlier this month, where it also debuted a new large-format MDX pellet extruder collaboration with Massive Dimension.
