3DToday to organize second 3DToday Fest in Moscow next November
New edition of Russia's leading event for 3D printing companies and makers
Russian 3D printing media outlet and 3dpbm’s network partner 3Dtoday is organizing the second edition of its leading national 3D printing event — the 3Dtoday Fest. This edition is set to take place only about six months after the very successful first edition, held in February in St. Petersburg. This time the gathering will take place in Moscow and will serve as a meeting place for the largest local community of 3D printing makers, industry professionals, manufacturers and distributors.
The 3Dtoday Fest premiered last February in St. Petersburg, where 3Dtoday is headquartered. The second installment is now planned for the capital city of Moscow and will be on a significantly larger scale than the first pilot event. 3Dtoday serves as leading Russian-speaking maker community and the leading local AT media portal, uniting 3D printer owners, 3D equipment manufacturers and distributors of specialized hardware, software and consumables.
The goal of the 3DToday Fest is to unite the community in a single event: to help both beginning and established manufacturers to promote their equipment and 3D printing materials, to allow designers and artists to display their works to a wider audience, as well as to assist beginners of all ages with taking their first steps in the world of additive technology. Unlike most specialized 3D printing events, the 3Dtoday Fest is focused on expanding the reach of 3D printing on the prosumer market and therefore concentrates primarily on additive technologies and materials, making them accessible to amateur makers.
The event will host leading local manufacturers and distributors of 3D printing and 3D scanning hardware, software and consumables, including Picaso 3D, Imprinta, REC, Filamentarno, PrintBox3D, Magnum 3D, Geralkom-3D, Bestfilament, Print Product, FDplast, SEM, Top 3D Shop, iGo3D Russia, RedFab and RK Gadget. A number of talented amateur 3D printer designers will also showcase their equipment right next to leading brands. And they do intend to give the bigger players a run for their money.
Visitors will be able to explore hundreds of projects, made possible by 3D printing: custom robotics and flying drones, cosplay costumes, musical instruments and even an electric bike and a Formula Student race car. Project authors will answer questions on design specifics and production methods.
Popular 3Dtoday bloggers and industry professionals will speak on various topics, starting with basics of 3D modeling and all the way up to tips on running a successful 3D printing business. Makers of all ages will be able to participate in complimentary workshops, including 3D pen drawing and post-processing of 3D prints. Registration is now open.
