3DPRINTUK boosts MJF capacity by 25% and gains JOSCAR certification
Two new HP 5210 Pro systems expand UK production capabilities; accreditation supports entry into aerospace, defense, and security supply chains
London-based AM service provider 3DPRINTUK has expanded its additive manufacturing capacity with the installation of two additional HP 5210 Pro Multi Jet Fusion systems, bringing its total fleet to 10 HP systems and marking a 25% increase in production. The London-based bureau reports the investment, valued at nearly £1 million ($1.2 million), strengthens its ability to handle high-volume orders and complex builds.
The company, which specializes in polymer 3D printing for production applications, now claims an MJF capacity five times greater than the average UK bureau.
“If we can’t fulfil a high-volume order using additive manufacture, then no one can,” said Nick Allen, Chief Executive Officer at 3DPRINTUK. “This investment is about staying ahead of demand and continuing to deliver the speed, quality, and reliability our customers expect.”
The increased capacity is designed to improve turnaround times and facilitate larger-scale contracts while maintaining print quality and consistency. It also positions the company to support end-use part production in sectors where throughput limitations have traditionally constrained additive manufacturing.
Accessing defense and aerospace opportunities
Alongside the hardware expansion, 3DPRINTUK has been registered on the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR), an industry-recognized compliance system used by major buyers in the aerospace, defense, and security sectors.
JOSCAR registration requires validation of multiple operational standards, including financial stability, health and safety procedures, environmental management, ethical practices, and supply chain security. The certification is designed to streamline procurement for large enterprises by pre-qualifying suppliers that meet stringent quality and governance requirements.
