Consumer AM Focus 2020 eBook

Stay up to date with everything that is happening in the wonderful world of AM via our LinkedIn community.

While the world at large is facing a pandemic—one which has touched all of our lives in some way—we are continuing on our mission to uplift the additive industry to the best of our abilities. In that vein, we at 3dpbm are pleased to introduce the third edition of our AM Focus eBook, which is centered on the Consumer AM segment.

As we see on a near-weekly basis, consumer businesses are finding new ways to adopt 3D printing into their workflows and supply chains, while new AM-driven consumer companies are also emerging. Today, we see three key trends in the consumer AM area, where additive processes are being employed for end-use production: eyewear, footwear and sports equipment. Our eBook this month considers the rapidly growing market for consumer AM products, delving into these three main areas, as well as looking at other industries, like jewelry and packaging, where 3D printing is well established for prototyping and indirect production.

In this publication, we highlight many subsegments of the consumer AM vertical, as well as some of the leading consumer-focused adopters of 3D printing. Our eBook also includes an exclusive interview from the consumer side, case studies, as well as a comprehensive overview of leading AM companies in the consumer sector.

3dpbm’s eBook can be viewed by scrolling through the document above or downloaded for viewing on your favorite mobile device. In our effort to maintain an open discourse and open access to AM news, the publication is free to access. We at 3dpbm have been eagerly following the progress of consumer additive manufacturing for years, and we are pleased to put the versatile industry in the spotlight in a new, reader-friendly way.
