The virtual event, dedicated to Design for Additive Manufacturing, will take place on 23 May

Stay up to date with everything that is happening in the wonderful world of AM via our LinkedIn community.

After the success of their previous events, 3Dnatives has launched, through its event platform ADDITIV, the first-ever edition of ADDITIV Design World – dedicated to exploring the role of design in additive manufacturing. This half-day virtual event will be dedicated to delving into the role of design in 3D printing and will take place on 23 May, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM EDT (3:00 – 7:00 PM CEST).

During the virtual event, participants will be able to meet the users and makers of 3D technologies, as well as hear from the most innovative experts in the sectors of software, design, and AM. Along with sponsors and partners, including Evolve Additive Solutions, IAM3DHUB, SPE, and more, the event will be welcoming an expected 500+ attendees, a day full of panel discussions, workshops, and networking.

Free for all attendees, the online event presents an opportunity for the professional AM and design communities to gather, learn, share, and connect all from the comfort of their own homes. It will be an ideal moment to learn about how Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), that is the set of best practices and rules that must be taken into consideration when creating a part with AM, is used in different fields and industries.

What can you expect?

On the agenda, three-panel discussions of 40 minutes will be followed by three 20-minute workshops. Topics will range from the benefits and challenges of design freedom in production, the increase of part performance through DfAM, and the future trends in design and 3D printing covering subjects like digital twins, topological optimization, lattice structures, biomimicry, reverse engineering, and more.

“We’re delighted to be launching this first edition of ADDITIV Design World. It’s an event that we feel is essential for the additive manufacturing market, as design is a vital link in the value chain. Today, there are more and more solutions for DfAM, and we are looking forward to sharing them with the entire AM and Design communities through this virtual event. We look forward to seeing you on May 23rd!” said Alex Martel, CEO of 3Dnatives.
