# 3DFactory incubator for European 3D printing businesses opens in Barcelona

As [reported by our Spanish-language sister site Replicador.es](https://www.replicador.es/2019/02/08/inauguracion-de-la-primera-incubadora-de-proyectos-empresariales-de-impresion-3d-de-europa/), the inauguration of the first European incubator for high-tech in 3D printing took place Monday, February 11th at the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona. The opening act of the 3DFactory Incubator will be chaired by the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Pedro Duque.

The event was attended by Barcelona’s Mayoress and President of the Zona Franca Consortium (CZFB), Ada Colau; the Special State Delegate to the CZFB, Pere Navarro; the President of Leitat, Jordi W. Carnes; and the President of the INCYDE Foundation, Jose Luis Bonet.
