3Deus Dynamics earns EN 9100 certification for aerospace and defense programs
The Lyon-based high-performance silicone company achieves a triple certification covering the medical, industrial, and aerospace sectors, six years after its founding.
3Deus Dynamics, a deeptech company founded in 2020 out of the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and the academic platform 3d.FAB obtained ISO 9001 and EN 9100 certifications, expanding a quality portfolio that already included ISO 13485, earned in 2023 for its medical activities. The company now holds three distinct sector-specific standards—medical, general industrial, and aerospace-defense—in under five years of operation.
3Deus Dynamics’ technical developments span several families of silicone components designed for critical applications. The company produced seals capable of withstanding a kerosene flame at 1,200°C for fifteen minutes, per ISO 2685, for use in hot zones and engine compartments. It also developed electromagnetic shielding (EMC) gaskets that deliver attenuation exceeding 80 dB across a wide frequency range, from kilohertz to gigahertz, thereby protecting onboard electronic systems and reducing the electromagnetic signature of military equipment.
“Obtaining EN 9100 marks a defining milestone in our industrial development. It validates our ability to produce reliable components for environments where safety and performance are non-negotiable and opens access to the most demanding programs,” said Julien Barthès, Chief Executive Officer of 3Deus Dynamics.
