# 3D Systems’ Graves to step down as CEO

[3D Systems](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/3d-systems/) has disclosed a leadership transition plan alongside the release of its second-quarter 2026 financial results, stating that Dr. Jeffrey Graves will step down as President and Chief Executive Officer and retire from the company's Board of Directors.

The South Carolina-based additive manufacturing supplier, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange, issued the statement on [the same day it hosted its second-quarter earnings conference call](https://www.3dsystems.com/press-releases/3d-systems-reports-second-quarter-2026-financial-results-0).

Graves will continue serving as president and CEO until a successor is appointed, a process the company expects to conclude later this year. Once a new chief executive is named, Graves will serve in a consulting capacity for six months to support the handover.

The Board of Directors confirmed it has engaged an executive search firm to lead the search and stated it remains focused on advancing the company's strategic priorities and shareholder value.

## Graves' six-year tenure

Graves joined 3D Systems in May 2020 and led a transformation of the company's Healthcare and Industrial businesses. During his tenure, he introduced cost-reduction measures aimed at improving operational efficiency and financial performance, and narrowed the company's strategic focus toward aerospace and defense, data center infrastructure, medical technology, and dental markets.

“We are grateful for Jeff's service to the Company and for his support during this transition to ensure a seamless handoff of leadership responsibilities.”

Graves said: “I am proud of the progress the Company has made over the last six years and grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside the talented employees of 3D Systems.

“It has been a privilege to serve our customers and shareholders, and I am confident that the Company is well positioned to build on this foundation and capitalize on the exciting opportunities in the industry ahead.
