# 3D People deploys AMIS Runtime across London facility

[3D People, a UK-based provider of industrial additive manufacturing services](https://www.voxelmatters.directory/company/3d-people/), has deployed [AMIS Runtime](https://www.voxelmatters.com/amis-runtime-no-more-manual-build-preparation-in-industrial-3d-printing/) across its London production facility following a 2025 grant award from Made Smarter UK. 

The grant supported the development and implementation of an automated process for preparing, nesting, and scheduling 3D print builds. The two companies collaboratively developed and tested Runtime in a live production environment across both [selective laser sintering (SLS)](https://www.voxelmatters.com/tpm3d-debuts-compact-sls-printer-at-formnext/) and [multi-jet fusion (MJF)](https://www.voxelmatters.com/filamentive-launches-rpa12-filament-based-on-recycled-mjf-powder/) systems.

The deployment integrates directly into 3D People's existing manufacturing execution system (MES) platform, automating the build preparation stage from file import and metadata rules through to intelligent nesting, slicing, exporting, and continuous re-nesting. High-density builds are now generated automatically with consistent rules applied across every operator and every shift.

“This project marked a key step in our long-term digital manufacturing strategy. It builds upon our existing MES platform, closing the loop between digital order management and physical production,” stated Sasha Bruml, Co-Founder of 3D People.

## Factory expansion and workflow gains

3D People recently expanded its facility with new SLS production capacity and additional material offerings. The introduction of Runtime eliminated bottlenecks associated with manual build preparation, enabling the team to handle more orders with the same headcount while improving customer turnaround times. 

The facility produces end-use PA12, TPU, and engineered polymer parts for sectors including film and television, automotive, marine, robotics, and electronics.
