3D-MODEL’s AMD Focus Days 2026 brings AM from lab to line in Bad Waldsee
Three day-by-day tracks on scan-to-CAD, polymer production workflows, and metal AM
3D‑MODEL GmbH is staging AMD Focus Days 2026 from March 17–19 at its technology and training center in Bad Waldsee. The compact, application-driven event is designed for engineers and production leads who want practical workflows rather than classroom theory. Each day focuses on a single stage of the AM value chain, with live demos and guided stations limited to small groups from roughly 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CET. “Many companies are working on additive manufacturing today—from first steps to optimizing mature processes. AMD Focus Days meet participants where they are and deliver both orientation and deep, practice-ready knowledge,” said Philipp Binkert.
“Our aim is not to teach theory but to show robust, real-world solutions—openly and at eye level—so participants return with concrete takeaways for their own applications,” said 3D-MODEL Co-founder Christiane Fimpel.
Day 1 covers Scan to CAD, moving from part capture to a parametric model; Day 2 centers on polymer production and post-processing across SLS, SLA, FDM and related methods; Day 3 focuses on industrial metal printing, finishing and quality assurance. Sessions are run in collaboration with technology partners and include opportunities for attendees to bring their own parts or datasets to work through full workflows on site.
Program delivery involves experts from vendors including Formlabs, Hexagon, Artec 3D, AMT and a‑metal. The venue is 3D-MODEL’s Technology and Training Center at Stahlstrasse 13, 88339 Bad Waldsee. Attendance is limited to keep sessions hands-on. Pricing is listed at €100 per person, per day, or €250 for all three days, excluding VAT and including on-site catering.
